TOPFORM - MOLDS FOR CORNICES
Installation

THE CARPENTRY

The support carpentry is composed of a platform and a side board (see drawing above). The lower part is placed against the masonry and is a support point for aligning the molds that are pressed onto the masonry with the side board. The platform must be suitably anchored to the masonry as to support the lateral force of the concrete. When the cornices jut out extensively an alternative solution to a whole mold can be used by creating the linear part with a smooth, multilayered wood panel. The panel supplied with the Topform mold is lined with scratchproof film; the concrete therefore has a smooth surface and can be detached from the drip shaped part.
In some cases, such as when beams, terraces, and stringcourses are executed, Topform can be placed directly on the support beams of the platform, and thus save on carpentry costs.

INSTALLATION

Topform molds are easy to install because they are cut to the length of the elements. On request, each supply will include a drawing of the layout with instructions for positioning the various pieces. The corners are supplied cut and glued, ready for mounting.
The layout instructions and custom-cut elements makes installation easy and rapid, with a noteworthy saving on labour costs.
